General Comments:

This data review period represents a snapshot of the overall results of the Intestinal Transplant Program at UCLA. This program is one of the oldest and most experienced intestinal transplant programs in the country and is the largest in the region. It benefits from stable leadership and personnel over the past two decades. In general, the results reported herein are equal to or better than those seen in the nation and will be discussed in more detail.

Comments for This Table:

This table simply gives an overview of several important parameters including number of transplants, candidate additions to waitlist, transplant and mortality rates, and survival. Of note, 16 of the 23 (70%) transplants performed in this region were done by our center. All are reviewed in more detail in the subsequent tables and no further comment will be made here.
