(*) = Not collected

Includes only organs recovered for transplant. See Section 3 of the tables for reasons for non-use of organs.

The number of transplants using living donors may be different from the number of living donors. This is because

there is a small number of multi-organ living donors and multiple donors for one transplant. For example, a living donor

might donate a kidney and pancreas segment; or two living donors might each donate a lung lobe for one transplant procedure.

A donor of an organ divided into segments (liver, lung, pancreas, intestine) is counted only once for that organ.

A donor of multiple organs is counted once for each organ recovered.

Donors after cardiac death are included in the deceased donor counts as well and are counted separately on the last line.
